Our Origins

Control GMC was created by the merger of two complementary Montreal-area engineering firms in the early 1980s. One was Contrôle GMC, which at that time provided consulting services for automation of industrial production lines. The other was Posistep, a manufacturer of high-tech automatic production equipment.

This shrewd merger brought together a team of experienced engineers, programmers, technicians and other professionals. Control GMC soon earned a excellent reputation for the quality of its service and the ingeniousness of its automatic production systems.

After more than 15 years of growth, the firm continues to put as much effort into designing and building simple, efficient machines. Contrôle GMC's systems now improve plant productivity throughout North America and Europe. Its customers include multinational corporations, as well as small and medium-sized companies.
